Niantic has been steadily adding more and more Hoenn Pokémon to Pokémon GO for a few months now and the newest batch is set to appear in the game tomorrow, February 9. This new group of Hoenn Pokémon includes a bunch of Flying, Dragon and Psychic-types, including Bagon, Shelgon, Salamence, Swablu, Altaria, Tropius, Chimecho, Taillow, Swellow, Wingull, Pelipper, Beldum, Metang and Metagross. Additionally, the Legendary Pokémon Rayquaza will become available to fight and catch via Raid Battle at the same time.
To make it easier to find and catch these new Pokémon, only Hoenn Pokémon will appear in the wild in Pokémon GO from these new Pokémon’s inclusions until February 13. Also, new boxes will be available via in-game purchase until February 23. These new boxes will include items such as Raid Passes, Egg Incubators and Star Pieces. Additionally, Lure Modules will work for six hours, instead of the usual thirty minutes, until February 23. Meanwhile, Rayquaza will be available at Raid Battles until March 16, giving players a little over a month to catch it, while Kyogre will still remain available until February 14. The official announcement on the Pokémon GO website also teases, “you might see some different Pokémon in Raid Battles at your nearby Gym, and from hatched Eggs.”
