A few weeks ago, The Pokémon Company held a press conference, during which they revealed some of their plans for future games. During this conference, Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Eevee! were officially announced, as well as another core Pokémon game for the Switch, coming in 2019. The company also announced a spin-off title called Pokémon Quest, which launched on the Switch after the conference. It was stated that this game would eventually come to mobile devices as well, and now we have a specific date for when to expect this.
It was recently announced that Pokémon Quest will be available for iOS and Android devices a week from today, on June 27. The game is free to play and contains some optional in-game purchases. Though the game is a spin-off title, it was developed by Game Freak, the same company that makes the main series Pokémon games. In Pokémon Quest, players will travel through the world of Tumblecube Island, befriending cube-ified versions of Kanto Pokémon in a simple, beginner-friendly action game. Keep in mind, however, that those who have already started playing the Switch version of the game will not be able to transfer save data from the Switch to the mobile versions of the game or vice versa. Pre-registration for the app is currently open.
