The Legend of Zelda series has had many different entries over the years and many of them offer very different methods of doing various tasks. Saving is definitely one of those, with very few in the series actually having the exact same method. Now The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening for Nintendo Switch has arrived and this guide will explain how you can save in the game and whether it’s different from the original in that area.
Auto-saving is something that most games have these days and The Legend of Zelda series has somewhat had this over the years by starting you back at the beginning of a dungeon and such if you die. That is still present in The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening, with the game remembering things that happen to where you don’t get sent way back if you happen to die.
The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening still retains its classic save function as well, though it’s done a little differently. To save at anytime in the game, simply press + to bring up the pause menu. Now press R to scroll over to the System tab and select Save. This will bring up three save Files you can choose from, so select the one you want and save away.
After you save it this way, you can then choose Load from the page before if you mess something up and want to go back to one of the previous saves you had done.
