The Chapter 2 update for Fortnite is live on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. The update which weighs in at 10.6 GB on PlayStation 4 is available for download which means that the beginning of the second phase of Fortnite is set to begin shortly.
Fortnite Patch is currently available to download
After the extended downtime that started on Sunday 10/13, it does appear that Fortnite will be back sooner rather than later. Alongside this update, a new trailer has leaked for Fortnite Season 2, which showcases the brand new map and some of the new character skins that you can expect to find in the 11th Season of the game.
While we can’t see exactly what’s in Fortnite Chapter 2, the trailer does a pretty good job of showing kind of what to expect. There’s definitely going to be a brand new map as well as some new gameplay activities. It’s been rumored that Chapter 2 will have a new building mode as well. Anything else we’ll need to wait and see once the servers are officially live.
It shouldn’t be long now though. With the update rolling out to Fortnite players, the extended downtime should be over shortly.
