We’re less than 24 hours away from the release of Call of Duty WW2. A return to the roots of this franchise, while keeping a lot of what’s made it special in recent years. Sledgehammer Games ticks all the boxes with this release, including the introduction of a couple of new modes in the Headquarters Social Space, the new War Mode, and offer their own twist on Call of Duty Zombies. We’ve put together this selection of videos from our time with the game while reviewing it so that you can get idea of what’s in the package.
This is one of the biggest Call of Duty games to date, with a lengthy single player story campaign that takes players across Europe in a Band of Brothers type story. A Zombies mode that’s on par with some of the best that we’ve seen in any game, complete with its own backstory as you can see in the mode’s Prologue. The new Headquarters Space is something brand new for the series and it offers a competitive arena, a place to customize your character and track your progression. Of course, the bread and butter of Call of Duty games, competitive multiplayer is also alive and well with the return to boots on the ground gameplay.
