Kingdom Hearts 3 Would Benefit Greatly Adding Star Wars

by Damian Seeto

The recent announcement of Disney Infinity 3.0 adding Star Wars got us thinking how it would be awesome if Jedi and the like were added to Kingdom Hearts 3 as well.

In previous Kingdom Hearts games, Sora and company would visit different worlds from numerous Disney locations. They were all represented as different planets and the level design was excellent because of the variety of worlds that were included.

Although not much news has been announced for Kingdom Hearts 3 yet, Square Enix hinted last year that the game will have a mix of old and new worlds. The Star Wars universe is so large and broad that Sora and the others could visit many planets from that franchise alone.

There are so many planets that Kingdom Hearts 3 could include in the Star Wars universe. How great would it be to see Luke Skywalker and Obi Wan Kenobi in Mos Eisley? It would be awesome to just roam around the town and visit the iconic cantina.

Another very appropriate world that could be included in Kingdom Hearts 3 is Endor. Sora, Goofy and Donald Duck meeting the ewoks for the first time would be an awesome sight to see. It will also be cool to be a part of the battle on Endor too, fighting off the stormtroopers and AT-ST walkers.

With Star Wars Battlefront ignoring the prequel trilogy, it would also be neat if Kingdom Hearts 3 added worlds from Episodes 1-3. The pod-racing from The Phantom Menace was one of the few things people liked in the movie. A mini-game involving pod-racing would be an exhilarating experience.

There were also some epic battles in the prequel trilogy too. How cool would it be if Sora used his keyblade to go toe-to-toe with Darth Maul or even Anakin Skywalker? I know people don’t like the prequel trilogy, but you cannot deny they had some awesome looking lightsaber battles.

The other big part of the prequel trilogy has been The Clone Wars. It would be nice if Kingdom Hearts 3 actually added some content from the popular TV series. The TV series was interesting as it revealed that Darth Maul is still alive and we also saw his brother too. There were a lot of other characters that were introduced in the series as well.

Big Kingdom Hearts 3 news is expected to be announced at this year’s D23 Expo in Japan. This is an event held by Disney and takes place in November. The timing would be perfect for a Star Wars related announcement for the game. With Star Wars: The Force Awakens releasing in December 2015, November will the best time to ride on the hype.

Do you think adding Star Wars to Kingdom Hearts 3 will be a good move, or would you rather see something else included?
