Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy ($29.99)
Releasing just last week, the Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy is one of the best bargains on the Nintendo eShop. At only $29.99, you get access to the best versions of the first three Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney titles that initially released on the Game Boy Advance years ago. For those that may have missed out and enjoyed seeing Phoenix Wright in the aforementioned Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, this is definitely one to pick up.
Pushmo/Crashmo ($6.99/$8.99)
Coming from the team that has brought us classic series like Fire Emblem and Advance Wars, Pushmo and its sequel Crashmo are easily the best puzzles games that are exclusive to the Nintendo 3DS eShop. Both will easily provide you with hours of gameplay and at such a cheap price, these are must own titles for any fans of the puzzle game genre.
Azure Striker Gunvolt ($14.99)
While gamers are most excited for Keiji Inafune’s upcoming crowd funded Mighty No. 9, his studio’s Azure Striker Gunvolt certainly does not need to be overlooked. The game also seems very inspired by Mega Man, with excellent 2D side-scrolling stages that are chosen in the order the player wishes, with each having a boss at the end. Those who bought the game earlier this year even got a free crossover game titled Mighty Gunvolt that served as a tease to Mighty No. 9, but that can now be purchased for $3.99 on its own.
Virtual Console (Prices Vary)
The 3DS Virtual Console boasts a pretty solid lineup of gamers to choose from that span not only handheld platforms like the Game Boy, Game Boy Color, and Sega Game Gear, but also the NES. Standouts like Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins and Link’s Awakening DX debuted near the services start and has grown since with plenty of other games. This is one where you will just have to check out the eShop for yourself to see just what games you might be interested in there.
