5. Nathan & Elena (Uncharted series)
While Nathan Drake is about to have his final journey later this year, we have plenty of past Uncharted content in which to look at Nathan’s relationship with Elena. Similar to Squall and Rinoa above, these two start off as very different kind of people, but Elena gradually softens up to Nathan’s charm. Across the three games, they certainly have had their rough patches, but the two somehow always end up together anyways regardless, which is the definition of a great couple.
4. Wander & Mono (Shadow of the Colossus)
This is definitely one of the more interesting gaming couples, as one is dead the entire game. Mono has died and Wander will do anything to try and bring her back to life. This includes taking on 16 different Colossus of ranging difficulties just for the chance she would be revived. How much more can you define love than that? Without spoiling, it gets even more heartwrenching at the endgame, making this even more fitting on the list.
3. Tidus & Yuna (Final Fantasy X)
The Final Fantasy series has had countless relationships over the years, including the aforementioned Squall & Rinoa, but none is better than Tidus & Yuna. Regardless of how you feel about Tidus himself, the chemistry found between these two characters is incredible. The writing really portrayed this relationship naturally from the beginning stages to where you can watch the two fall in love with one another. Throughout this long story, the two grow even closer and before their journey is over, the gamers playing could have easily ended up in tears.
2. Pac-Man & Ms. Pac-Man (Pac-Man series)
Definitely one of the most iconic and yet simple couples on the list, Pac-Man & Ms. Pac-Man were the first true gaming couple. Ms. Pac-Man took everything that the original Pac-Man had and improved on it, complete with cutscenes between every few levels that explained how the two met, fell in love, and eventually had a baby. This was very neat back then and is the reason they are so high on this list.
1. Mario & Peach (Super Mario Bros. Series)
While the last entry was the oldest entry on the list, it was going to be absolutely impossible to take the crown from the top gaming couple of Mario & Peach. It all started long ago as Mario went in search of Princess Peach and they have been close ever since. Mario & Peach truly are the gaming power couple and I don’t see that changing in the future.
