Someone destroyed their fiancée’s ‘Red Dead Redemption 2’ save file and hired the one person who might be able to fix the relationship

$159 well spent

Someone recently found a creative and heartfelt way to apologise to his fiancée after accidentally deleting her Red Dead Redemption 2 save file. Knowing how much time and emotion she had invested in the game, he turned to Cameo to arrange a personalised apology delivered by Roger Clark, the voice behind Arthur Morgan. The thoughtful gesture quickly drew attention online, with many praising the effort to make amends in such a memorable way.

The fiancée had reportedly poured countless hours into the game, carefully shaping her character’s journey by making ethical choices and fully immersing herself in the story. She was about two-thirds of the way through the narrative when her progress was suddenly erased, wiping out dozens of hours of gameplay, character development, and emotional investment.

According to Dextero, to make things right, the person turned to Cameo, a platform where fans can pay celebrities for personalized video messages. Roger Clark, the voice behind the game’s beloved protagonist Arthur Morgan, offers these messages for $159.

Roger Clark went beyond just fulfilling the request and shared it publicly to rally fan support

Roger Clark didn’t just record the apology, he also shared the request with fans on social media, drawing wider attention to the situation. He shared the request on X, asking fans to send “positive vibes” to the “poor girl” and expressing how “blown away” he is by the support he gets on Cameo, especially for heartfelt messages like this one.

“Thank you for liking my shout-outs. I enjoy them all, but it’s ones like these below that I live for. Let us all send this poor girl positive vibes. At least her man knows what he did,” Clark wrote in his post. It’s worth noting that RDR2 is a game full of depth, and fans are still discovering hidden details that went unnoticed for years, which makes losing a save file even more painful.

One person pointed out that the fiancée now gets to “play that masterpiece again with more knowledge than before.” For players starting fresh, using RDR2 cheat codes this time around could help speed things along and ease the pain of replaying hours of lost progress.

Whether the gesture will be enough to earn forgiveness for the accidental deletion remains to be seen, but having Clark, the voice behind a beloved gaming character, personally deliver the apology is certainly a rare and memorable way to try.
