Persona 5 Books: How to Read Books & Where to Find Them

In Persona 5, reading books is one of the activities that will increase your stats, such as “knowledge” and “guts”. There are many opportunities to read in game, making this an easy way to boost those stats. But to get started, you’ll need to find books, and there are only a few places to get them.

Logically, your first trip should be to the School Library on any school day. The library is on the third floor of the school. Once there, talk to the librarian, who will give you a list of books you can borrow and read. After checking one out, head to an unoccupied reading table, sit down, and start reading.

Another good place to find books and read is in the Cafe Leblanc, which is downstairs from your home. Near the entrance of the cafe you’ll find a stack of books next to the pay phone. Pick one up and read it at the bar.

Of course you’ll be able to purchase books in the Bookstore on Central Street in Shibuya.

To help speed up the reading process, we recommend starting to read any book you get at the shop or library and then finish them on the train to avoid wasting time.

When on the subway, take a seat and you’ll start reading the book you have already started. There are also other rides where you’ll be able to read.

All books you borrow or purchase will show up in your library. Selecting one will automatically begin the reading process. You won’t finish the book in a single sitting and the number of sittings it takes to read a book is shown by the number of tickets displayed next to it in the menu.  You can pick up reading again when you have another opportunity.

Finally, once you have completed a book you will gain knowledge points for doing so.
