Keeping track of your health is one of the primary things you’ll need to do in Remnant: From the Ashes.  Between long boss fights and tense encounters, you’ll undoubtedly need to heal in a pinch.  There are multiple ways to heal in Remnant: From the Ashes.

The first one you’ll be introduced to early on in the tutorial section of the game and that’s through using an item called the Bloodwort.  This is a healing item that can be assigned to one of your d-pad quick items and regenerates health over time.  These items will be found in the world as you progress, but it can also be purchased from Reggie the NPC in Ward 13.

Not far into the game you will get a second method of healing when you are given the Dragon Heart.  The Dragon Heart heal item will restore your health while in battle and it has multiple charges.  You can use the Dragon Heart by pressing the LB/L1 button on the controller or by hitting Q on the keyboard.

Doing so will recharge your health, but also slow you down and make you vulnerable to attacks while healing.

If you need to get your health back and you’re close to one of the checkpoint crystals, you can always rest there and this will recharge your health and your Dragon Heart charges.  It will also respawn enemies in your location.

Finally, health will regenerate over time at a slow pace.  If you want to get your health back and you don’t have any items to use, you can wait it out until your health is back to full.
