There are a ton of very important items spread throughout the world of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. While each has its uses, a few stand out as the key way to defeat certain enemies. This is true for Snap Seeds, an exceedingly rare item that is useful against Lady Butterfly, as well as some other sections of the game. While you receive a few through the normal course of the Hirata Estate level, there’s more out there, and we’re gonna help you find them. Here’s where to get Snap Seeds in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.
Where to get Snap Seeds
While there’s two main places where you’ll find Snap Seeds in Sekiro, there’s only one you’ll run into around the same time as Lady Butterfly, unless you’re playing a very unique way. They are found within the ravine just past the Chained Ogre boss battle. Here is where you encounter the giant snake for the first time, having to sneak past him and attack from a very specific location (see how to get past the giant snake here).
After doing so you’re actually in the optimum place to get your second set of Snap Seeds in Sekiro. Head up the nearby hill as you exit the palanquin and you’ll see a small tree with a glowing item on it. These are Snap Seeds, and once you have them you’ll probably want to go ahead and face off against Lady Butterfly, since the other set is further along in the game.
The second set of Snap Seeds is found at one of the game’s Mob Shops, stores found in just a few locations in the world where you can spend money/Sen on items. Each shop has a unique inventory, often with 4-5 distinctive and useful items in the set. The shop found at the Mibu Village has Snap Seeds, but you almost certainly won’t run into it until much later in your game. It is found beyond the Ahina Depths and through the Hidden Forest, so if you haven’t found those locations, you probably should just write these off until later. Luckily, Snap Seeds have more uses in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice than just fighting Lady Butterfly, so they’ll still be helpful whenever you run across this shop.
And that’s where to get Snap Seeds in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. There may be a few more out there, hidden away, so if you spot some please let us know in the comments and we’ll keep this article updated with any new finds.
