The majority of your time playing Wolfenstein: Youngblood is going to be in adequately lit areas that will not need additional lighting sources. For the darker moments in the game however, you have a flashlight that you can use to help you navigate the darkness. This guide will detail how to use your flashlight in the game.

How To Use Flashlight in Wolfenstein: Youngblood

You won’t have to play Wolfenstein: Youngblood too long before you get into some dark areas. One of these in particular is pitch black and requires you to use your flashlight, which can be activated rather easily.

To use your flashlight in the game, all you have to do is press right on the D-Pad to pull it out to use. This will provide you with a small beam of light in front of you to light the way in dark corridors. When you have the flashlight out, you can use the right analog stick to aim it just as if it was a gun.

As you can expect, you cannot hold both a flashlight and one of two-handed guns at the same time. Instead, as soon as you pull out the flashlight, you will switch to your sidearm weapon instead. You might think you could do your flashlight and melee weapon instead, but the only thing you can hold while using the flashlight is the sidearm.

Pressing right on the D-Pad again will turn off the flashlight, though you could just switch to another weapon to turn it off as well, while also simultaneously pulling a new weapon out.
