Yooka-Laylee took many inspirations from the Banjo-Kazooie series in its original release and now Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair takes not only that, but also some inspiration from many 2D platformers. One of those happens to be secret exits hidden within some levels in the game, with four total being found in this game. The first of them is found in Chapter 5 and this guide will detail just where it is and how to access it.
When you first approach Chapter 5 Gasping Glade, you’ll notice what looks to be an elevated platform about that you cannot reach with a Beettalion encased in glass like at the end of the usual stages. That means there is a secret exit in this stage that you must find to gain access to this higher area.
Start up Chapter 5 Gasping Glade, and make sure you are playing the regular version of the stage from the left side. If you do the other, this will not work at all. Start the level up and play through most of it until you come to a green door with a pool of green acid to the right of it as seen in the above image.
It may seem like this is just a trap and it cannot be traversed, but there is a way. That way is to be patient, as there is a platform that will come your way eventually, but it does take some time. Just sit back and wait and hop on the platform as soon as it arrives.
Once you board the platform, you still have some obstacles to get past as you ride it towards the right side of the screen. Jump where you need to here and eventually you’ll make it all the way to the right until you find the above warp that you must touch to gain access to the secret exit, which will transport you right atop the aforementioned elevated platform outside of the level.
