Compared to the original 3D platformer, Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair tries some very different things with its 2D level design. Everything in the game goes back to the central part of the title, the Impossible Lair, which you must prepare to take on throughout the game. For that, you will need to collect what are known as Beettalions in the game and this guide will explain how you can get more.

Beettalions essentially serve as a lives system for the Impossible Lair, with you needing to collect as many as you can. This is the main goal in Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair, so you must play through the various chapters in the game.

To collect more Beettalions, you must start up a chapter in the game and make your way to the end. This may take awhile with what are pretty long levels, but at the very end you will come across something encased in a glass hive of sorts. Simply roll into it with your attack and it will open, revealing another Beettalions to add to your collection.

These can take awhile to collect, but they play a major role in the game for how you beat the Impossible Lair. Make sure to keep pushing forward and collecting more
