A new interview with Akira Toriyama and animator Toyotaro has been printed where they talk about the potential future for Dragon Ball Super and also why they settled on the color of blue hair for Goku and Vegeta.

Toriyama and Toyotaro’s new interview was published on the official V-Jump website. It’s only part 1 of the interview, but they mention some interesting things about Dragon Ball Super and more.

Toriyama’s explanation for the blue hair is quite funny: “In the Battle of Gods movie, they were red. So in the film The Resurrection of F, I had to use blue. That’s all (laughs). In fact, I had thought to have made it white, but it would have been in conflict with the next enemy … So I thought I’d keep it for another time (laughs).

Both Toriyama and Toyataro hinted on Dragon Ball Super’s future:  Toyotaro: “I read the plot for the next story, and I’m really happy that a character “linked to the future” will be involved. I am a big fan! Toriyama: This is a very popular character! I hope that the children will be happy.

The full interview is interesting too as they talk about other aspects of the wider Dragon Ball universe. Hopefully more information is revealed in part 2 of their interview.
