Batman vs Superman just came out, yet Amazon has already listed the release date for the Blu-ray version of the movie. There will be multiple versions of the Blu-ray as the more expensive versions feature some cool looking statues.
As noted by ComicBookMovie, Amazon listed that the Batman vs Superman Blu-ray will be released on July 16th, 2016. Amazon has since removed the release date from its website, so it’s possible this date could be true.
The other thing worth mentioning is that there are three versions of the Blu-ray. First there’s the normal Blu-ray pack called the “Ultimate Edition”. This includes an extended cut disc, the theatrical cut disc plus the DVD and digital copy. This version of the Blu-ray will only cost you $35.99.
The other two versions feature statues for Superman and Batman. It includes everything from the $35.99 version of the Blu-ray, but just adds a cool looking statue. However, these statues will cost a lot as they retail for $129.99 each. If you want to buy both of them, this will cost you $259.98.
Since it’s way too early, no special features have been revealed yet. We do know that the extended cut includes 30 minutes of additional footage and will be rated R. Scenes that included Jena Malone will be in the extended cut and more.
