Blizzard has announced that they have sent out a new wave of Starcraft II bans and suspensions to the cheaters within the community.
Those who use cheat or hack programs while playing Starcraft II are being dealt with to create a safer and much more enjoyable community. This is coming from Blizzard themselves as they posted on their blog last week regarding a new wave of bans and suspensions that was sent out to the cheaters within the Starcraft II community. Here’s what Blizzard had to say about the matter:
“We recently issued a new round of account suspensions and bans to StarCraft II players who were in violation of the Battle.net Terms of Use for cheating and/or using hack programs while playing. In addition to undermining the spirit of fair competition that’s essential to play on Battle.net, cheating and hacking can lead to stability and performance issues with the service.
As always, maintaining a stable, safe, and secure online-gaming experience for legitimate players is a top priority for us, and we’ll be continuing to keep watch on Battle.net and take action as needed.”
It’s good to see the company take a stand against cheating in what is a huge community of dedicated players in the Starcraft II fanbase.
