For the second time in a week, Destiny 2 has seen a steep price cut. Earlier the game was on sale for $9.99 on Best Buy for a 24-hour flash sale. Today, Humble Bundle is advertising that Bungie’s shooter is part of the Humble Monthly package.
This is a $12 subscription service that features a curated batch of games each month. Over the past couple of months the service has offered big titles like Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, God Eater 2, Mafia III, Dead Rising 4, and now Destiny 2.
The subscription definitely sounds like a good value when you do the math on it. The past couple of months offered well over the advertised $100+ value in games. Interestingly enough, the subscription can be cancelled at anytime and the games are yours to keep.
Short of making the base game in Destiny 2 free to play, Activision is lowering the barrier to entry for Bungie’s shooter. With two opportunities to get the game for around $10, anyone that was waiting on a deal has had their opportunity.
Destiny 2 is readying to start Season 3 for the game, which features a number of updates that are free to all players. On the premium side, alongside the arrival of the Season 3 update, the Warmind Destiny 2 DLC is set to arrive on May 8th.
