Crysis 2 DX11 Video Highlights Improvements

Today, Crytek released the much anticipated “DX11 Ultra Upgrade” for Crysis 2 PC players and judging from the video below, damn. Had Crysis 2 looked this good on my play-through with the console version I might have been able to overlook the game’s mediocre story, uninspired characters and horrid AI.

The video below highlights the improvements that were released with the update today. Assuming your PC doesn’t blow up while attempting to run them, some of the additions include tessellation and displacement mapping, real-time reflections, more realistic texture and shadow rendering, as well as high quality HDR and motion blur. If you don’t know what most of the terms in the video mean, just try and focus on the stunning visuals. So, so pretty:
