With just about two weeks till the release of Farming Simulator 15, Focus Home Interactive has decided to grace us with a trailer that shows off the prettiness of the game engine, as opposed to gameplay elements like logging or general farming.
While the trailer doesn’t give us much in terms of what to expect from gameplay (that’s what the gameplay teasers are for after all!), we do get glimpses of aspects of the game that we have previously been unable to see. There is, potentially, the physics in action with the grass swaying due to wind. We also get a look at the random NPC cars that will travel on the roads (shown quite comically in the trailer, following your slow harvester and honking their horns).
We also see the animals and a greenhouse. It will be interesting to see how much detail and realism Giants Software will be actually simulating when it comes to these aspects in Farming Simulator 15, as it will largely be non-vehicular activities, but they seem to have the vehicular activities (logging, plowing, harvesting) down with a large assortment of different, beautifully modeled vehicles.
Lastly, we get to see the day/night cycle and veterans of the series will be hoping to see if it is merely aesthetics or will actually play into gameplay. Farming Simulator 15 definitely has the visual chops, at least in its promotional materials, but we shall see if it has the gameplay to back it up.
Farming Simulator 15 is set to be released on the 30th of October for PCs and in early 2015 for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3 and PS4. We’ll be keeping you updated on all things Farming Simulator 15, so make sure to check back often!
