Level-5 has released the first trailer of Yo-kai Watch Busters 2: Treasure Legend Banbaraya, in which we get a first glimpse into the adventures of adventurer Indy J in the Karakuri Island. The game focuses around a group of four treasure hunters who explore a legendary island in the hope to find the treasure left by a pirate king. But of course, the search will not be an easy mission, as a band of thieves known as the Brandory Family will follow their steps closely.
In contrast with the main series, Yo-kai Watch Busters is an action-RPG with battles in real time. This second entry will also allow local multiplayer for up to 4 players, each controlling one of the four main characters. In the Karakuri Island they will have to face new Yo-kais like Ancordead, Doescalibur, Madomoaizel, Narcis 2-Sei, Rosetta Stone, and Zapdokia. But the good news is that they will also have some special weaponry called Treasure Gear. These weapons are the Magnum, the Tune Sword, and and the Sniper, and they offer new ways to obtain treasures.
In Japan, the game launches in two editions called Magnum and Sword, each one giving access to the characters of Enma and Kaira using the weapon of each edition.
Yo-kai Watch Busters 2: Treasure Legend Banbaraya launches on December 7 in Japan for Nintendo 3DS. There is no information about a possible release in the West. Watch the debut trailer below.
