Those currently playing Destiny have been warned about an impending update that will be patched into the game shortly.
Any user currently online have been warned once they enter orbit that the game may experience downtime shortly due to a server update that is rolling out and is assumed to be across all platforms. Players are directed to go to Bungie’s help site for more information. Upon entering of the site users are notified at the top of the screen the following; “Pardon our dust! Destiny is being updated. You will be returned to the title screen to install a title update and will be able to continue playing afterwards.“
As of now the patch is currently out on Playstation 4 and we will update this with more information as the patch notes are released. It can be assumed it has to do with the first Raid that will open up tomorrow at 2AM PST.
There have been many issues plaguing users across all platforms regarding security and networking issues such as the ‘Centipede’ issue.
