Ubisoft’s upcoming game, The Division, will be released in 2015 for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. Â Originally slated for a 2014 release, the open world game had previously been rumored to have been delayed, and today, Ubisoft Massive has confirmed the news.
The ambitious open world title made a splash at E3 2013, and since then, we’ve only had a smattering of screenshots to gauge the game’s progress.
Over on the game’s official site, Massive had this to say about the delay. Â “Working on The Division is a once in a lifetime opportunity for all of us at Massive, Reflections, and Red Storm Entertainment. We are creating something we are really proud of and we don’t want to compromise on quality. We are going to release the game when it’s ready.”
The vague announcement doesn’t tell us when the game will arrive in 2015, but saying that they’ll release the game when it’s ready indicates that they aren’t in any rush. Â Earlier this year after rumors of an inbound delay, a Ubisoft developer went on the record to say that the game was “on-track”.
