Bandai Namco has announced at Gamescom 2017 that the hotly-anticipated Dragon Ball FighterZ will release for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on February 2018. Fans who pre-order this fighting game based on the popular anime will get early access to the upcoming beta, two unlockable characters, and two exclusive lobby avatars.
Dragon Ball FighterZ was one of the revelations at this year’s E3. So much that even its own developers felt surprised by the response from the public. Since then there have been lots of character presentations and the tease of the plot of the game and the online mode.
Today Bandai Namco gave more information on those fronts, with a trailer that showcases characters like Super Saiyan Blue Goku, Super Saiyain Blue Vegeta, Android 16, Android 18, Krillin, and Piccolo, and gives the first official synopsis of the story: “With the resurrection of Android 16 and the invasion of the mysterious army corps, the super warriors start to fall. What is happening?!” The multiplayer online mode “Party Match” has also been revealed, which is a 3v3 battle mode in which six players can control one fighter each.
And since Gamescom is an European event, Bandai Namco also announced a “CollectorZ” Edition containing these extras:
- Goku 18cm diorama with an exclusive “Manga Dimension” coloring
- Three arts boards
- Unique SteelBook
