Fans will be happy to know that the Champa Saga for Dragon Ball Super starts in late January. It sounds like the Resurrection F saga is not going to last as long as the Battle of Gods saga.

The official Dragon Ball Super Twitter page announced that the Champa saga will start airing on January 24th, 2016. 2016 marks the 30th Anniversary of the Dragon Ball series.

I won’t divulge in spoilers here yet, but Champa is an interesting new character that fans have been waiting to see. In the TV series, we’ve only seen him for a few seconds with this companion Vados. Some other fans might know that both Champa and Vados have strong resemblances to Beerus and Whis. You will know why once you see the series.

As for the Resurrection F saga, it appears there’s only one more month left between the fight between Goku/Vegeta and Frieza. We already know what happens if you’ve seen the animated movie. The Champa saga is where things should get more interesting as this is actual new material we have yet to experience.

The manga for this saga is already out, so some people know the premise of the story already. It sounds very interesting and I cannot wait to see it.
