An Australian retailer has now revealed a full list of deleted scenes that will included in the Blu-ray for Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens.
JB Hi Fi listed on its official website that there will be six deleted scenes in the Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens Blu-ray set. This number is slightly lower than the seven that was mentioned a few days ago, but it’s more than enough to satisfy die hard fans.
The deleted scenes are: “Finn And The Villager, Jakku Message, X-Wings Prepare For Lightspeed, Kylo Searches The Falcon , Snow Speeder Chase and Finn Will Be Fine”
There were probably more scenes that were cut from the film, but sadly it looks like we won’t be seeing them in the foreseeable future. The original cut for the film was close to three hours long.
Both J.J. Abrams and Disney condensed that to 135 minutes which was probably a good thing. Star Wars movies have never been three hours long and it would have ruined the pace of the film if they added too many unnecessary scenes.
Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens Blu-ray releases on April 5th, 2016 in North America. This date is only for the 2D version of the film because Disney promises the 3D Blu-ray will be out later this year.
