Get Dragon Age: Origins Free on PC Right Now

by Kyle Hanson

EA has made Dragon Age: Origins available for free on PC as part of their Origin service’s On the House program. This program gives players the entire game completely free, with no time or other limiting factors at all. To get the game you just need to visit the Origin store page for Dragon Age: Origins and add it to your account. From that moment on you will always have access to the game. It is important to note that this deal is only on the Standard Edition of the game, the Ultimate and Digital Deluxe versions still cost money.

There’s no catch. Grab full games, expansions and more at absolutely no cost.

While there are many who do not enjoy using Origin, no one can argue that EA isn’t putting a decent effort together to satisfy customers. Past entries in the On the House program have been Wing Commander III and Battlefield 3While they might not completely stack up against the excellent offerings from Sony’s Playstation Plus Instant Game Collection, with On the House you don’t have to maintain a paid subscription to keep access to the games. Once you have them on your account they are playable forever.

EA says the point of giving these games away for free is “to provide a great gaming experience and a way to discover awesome new games. Having a game in your library, for free, is a fantastic way to see what Origin is all about.”

What do you think? Have these free games gotten you to check out Origin more? Let us know in the comments.
