Heart of the Swarm balance being closely monitored, says Blizzard

Heart of the Swarm launched last week to critical success, and StarCraft II players have yet to find any game breaking balance bugs in the RTS title.  You can chalk up the extensive beta for Heart of the Swarm in that regard, but Blizzard is keeping a close eye on any problems that might be stirring.

“Our design team is watching every major match carefully and will continue doing so,” said Blizzard on the SC2 forums.  “The super aggressive play is turning out to be really fun to watch.  Nobody is close to figuring the game out yet.  A few players are really changing up their play and having completely different results than what’s expected by the majority.”

“We’ll continue watching all the pro and community concerns, but keep in mind we’d really like the game to settle before we step in and make a move.”

Heart of the Swarm is the first expansion for StarCraft II, and featured numerous changes to the multiplayer gameplay.  New units and abilities for units have been added to the game, and has apparently changed the landscape of competitive StarCraft 2.
