Hailey Bieber is planning to use the money she gets from selling her beauty and skincare brand, Rhode, mostly to make sure her son Jack Blues’ future is safe and secure. The model and business owner talked for its Innovators issue about how she plans to handle the one-billion-dollar sale. Bieber, who is 28 years old, made it clear that her main aim is to invest the money in a smart way and to save it for her child.
The sale of Rhode to the company e.l.f. Beauty was officially completed on May 28. As a part of the deal, Bieber will keep her job as the founder and will also work as the chief creative officer and the head of innovation. She will be in charge of the creative direction, the creation of new products, and marketing. She will also work as a strategic advisor for the two companies now working together. The brand, which first started in 2022, was valued at one billion dollars at the time it was sold.
Bieber told WSJ that the large amount of money from the sale is enough to change a person’s life, but it is also a new experience for her. She said, “I want to preserve that for my son’s future. It’s an amount of money that I have not dealt with before, so I just want to be smart with it.” What she said shows that she is thinking about managing money for a long time from now, not about spending it on herself right away.
Planning Ahead While Keeping Family At The Center
Besides money topics, Bieber also talked about her method for keeping her son’s life private. She and her husband, Justin Bieber, who is 31, almost never show Jack’s face on the internet. Hailey explained that she would rather not share pictures of her child with the public until he is old enough to understand what that means and can agree to having his picture on the internet. She said, “Until your child can understand it and it’s possible to have conversation around it, I have no interest in putting him out there in any way,” explained Hailey. Her team also dismissed recent rumors related to Selena Gomez.
Even though they keep his life very private, Hailey and Justin sometimes post pictures of Jack where you see him from behind or share moments that do not show his face. Earlier this month, Hailey shared a group of Halloween-themed photos on Instagram that showed Jack looking at seasonal decorations. One photo showed the young child at a display that had pumpkins, bales of hay, and a skeleton. The display had a sign that read “Jack’s Patch.”
Another picture showed him wearing a sweatshirt with the word “Justin” on it, which also had a photo of his father from when Justin first became famous in the music industry. Hailey wrote “Jacktober” as the caption for the post, which is a playful combination of Jack’s name and the month of October.
In August, Bieber shared pictures from the party for Jack’s first birthday. The theme of the party was “Camp Jack,” and the photos included one of Hailey with her friend Kendall Jenner by a swimming pool, as well as a strip of photos from a photo booth featuring the mother and her son. The pictures were taken in a way that focused on capturing the happy moments without showing Jack’s full face, which matches what she has said about her method for protecting his privacy.
