Japan To Get Pokemon X&Y themed Nintendo 3DS

Pokemon fans in Japan have a reason to rejoice. With Pokemon X&Y being the first Pokemon games being released on the same date worldwide, Japanese gamers could no longer claim early access to the beloved RPG franchisee. Nintendo has now announced two Pokemon X&Y special edition 3DS XLs for Japan.

Gematsu reports that the “Xerneas and Yveltal Blue” edition and the “Premium Gold” edition will cost 22,800 yen each. Each will come packed with a downloaded copy of one of the two games (there are separate editions for Pokemon X and Pokemon Y). along with a 4 GB SDHC memory card, a stlylus and six AR cards. The Premium Gold edition is a Pokemon Center exclusive.

Both editions will be available on the same date as the games’ international release date : October 12. Japanese gamers can start pre-ordering from August 10. The rest of the world will just have to wait as there is no word on an international release date for these beautiful editions.

Also revealed was a 3 minute trailer which was uploaded on the game’s Japanese website. The video is expectedly in Japanese.
