Bandai Namco and Level-5 have released another preview of the long-anticipated Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom, this time putting the focus on the figure of the protagonist, the young King Evan, who tries to rebuild his kingdom in the aftermath of a coup from the enemies of the king. The trailer is made out of cutscenes that highlight the gorgeous art style of the game and the tale of heroism that players will get to discover very soon.
In the video we can see how Evan barely escapes from the attack of the dark forces, and then is joined by other refugees in order to rebuild their home. The prince will need to accept his destiny as the hero that must lead his people in such a dark time, despite his young age. While the story has plenty of mature elements to appeal to adults, the artstyle and general design reminisces of anime shows directed to a younger audience, making for a very interesting mix that hopes to appeal to various generations of players.
After several delays, Bandai Namco has used this extra time to release different previews of the game focused in different aspects such as locations, battle system, or building mechanics.
Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom launches for PS4 and PC on March 23. Watch the new trailer below.
