Mad Catz Talks About New Street Fighter V Fight Pads

Mad Catz has now spoken out on the new fight pads that will be available by the time Street Fighter V comes out next year.

Mad Catz’s Arcade FightStick Tournament Edition 2 is now available with more iterations to come later this year. Most notably, an arcade stick will be released very soon for the PS4 release of Ultra Street fighter IV.

Mad Catz community manager, Mark Julio, recently tweeted out some new information about fight pads that will be due out next year for Street Fighter V. A fan wanted to have actual new fight pads/controllers instead of the arcade sticks that are usually made

Mark Julio mentioned the new fight pads are being currently worked on. However, he mentioned these “things take time” so we may not see the fight pads anytime soon.

He reiterated in another tweet that the new and upcoming Mad Catz fight pads will be due out hopefully in time for the release of Street Fighter V next year. He noted the fight pads will only be for the PS4 at the moment. The team will focus on specialized controllers on other platforms after this.

Fighting game fans on Xbox One may be waiting a long time for a fight pad from Mad Catz. Street Fighter V is not out until Spring 2016.
