Microsoft dealing with Xbox One challenges on their own schedule

To say that Microsoft has seen problems with their reveal of the Xbox One would be an understatement. With all of their policy reversals and mixed marketing messages, it’s been hard to keep track of exactly what is and what isn’t a feature on the Xbox One. According to Major Nelson, these “challenges” are being dealt with, but on Microsoft’s terms “We are working on our own schedule — not anyone else’s,” said Hyrb in the official Xbox One Reddit thread.

This comes in response to fans posing the question of whether the Xbox One is being rushed to market. Some fans think that Sony might have caught Microsoft off-guard with their announcement of the PlayStation 4 arriving this year.

“Calling it rushed is incorrect,” said Hyrb. “At Gamescom, every game in the Xbox booth was running on final Xbox One hardware. Every. Single. One. That would paint a very different take on the being ‘rushed.'”

There have just been a lot of things recently that Microsoft has had to put on the backburner. It was recently announced that the Xbox One would not support External Storate at launch, and last month it was confirmed that Microsoft wouldn’t be launching in a number of European countries. It’s also not helping that Microsoft has yet to officially announce a release date for the console, and have been one step behind Sony since February.
