Earlier this week a major bombshell was dropped when it was announced that Call of Duty on the Xbox One would run at a native resolution of 720p on the console.  It’s given console fans plenty of ammunition to use against Microsoft, and on Twitter, they began dishing it out to Aaron Greenberg.

Greenberg defended 720p on the Xbox One, pointing to the console’s upscaler as a reason why this shouldn’t be a big worry for those on the fence about their new console.   “You do realize you will see every game in 1080p as your output,” said Greenberg.

“Devs have to make design tradeoffs, but both systems fully support & output at 1080p.”

Unfortunately for Microsoft, these tradeoffs only needed to be made on the Xbox One.  Call of Duty: Ghosts will arrive on the PlayStation 4 with a native resolution of 1080p.
