A new Minecraft update is out today across the many console variations of the hugely popular game. PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U, PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and others are all getting a fresh batch of bug fixes and content changes. The big, topline item though is a surprising collaboration between 4J Studios and Netflix, bringing a set of Stranger Things DLC to Minecraft.
The Stranger Things Skin Pack is the big announcement in these latest patch notes, letting players skin their character after characters from the show. Stranger Things Season 2 just debuted this morning, so the timing couldn’t be any better. If you’re a fan of the show and love Minecraft then this skin pack was tailor made for you.
Outside of this addition though the new Minecraft update does make some other changes. Here’s some highlights from the patch notes.
“Add a time-limited Halloween Tumble arena, including specially themed layers! Added the “Custom” game type to the Battle Mini Game with a huge variety of new settings. Added the “Custom” game type to Tumble Mini Game with a huge variety of new settings. Players can now spectate Battle and Tumble Mini Games as a Parrot, Vex, or floating head.”
Some platforms might still lag behind in the update, so keep checking for it.
