Nintendo Estimates 4 Million 3DS Units Shipped in March 2011

Satoru Iwata confirmed that according to internal Nintendo estimates, the company will ship a combined total of 4 million Nintendo 3DS units by  end of March 2011.  According to Iwata the company estimates that it will sell 1.5 million units in Japan, and around 2.5 million units worldwide.  This weekend marks the first public look at much of the software and hardware that Nintendo will be offering when the device ships in February.

Among the recent announcements:  Nintendo’s launch lineup for the 3DS, A 3Ds Software Trailer, and numerous gameplay showcases like, Zelda, Street Fighter, BlazBlue, Paper Mario and many more.
