Atlus has release two new trailers of Persona 3 Dancing Moon Night and Persona 5 Dancing Star Night focused on the characters of Yukari Takeba and Ryuji Sakamoto. Each are representatives of their respective original games, so Yukari’s video showcases gameplay from Persona 3, while Ryuji’s shows footage from the Persona 5 spin-off. They also serve as a taste of the soundtrack included in each game, featuring remixes from songs of the original adventures, such as ‘When The Moon’s Reaching Out Stars’ from Persona 3 and ‘Tokyo Daylight’ from Persona 5, two songs which fans of the series will immediately recognize.
These dancing spin-offs present a brand new story for each game, adding a very J-Pop flavour to the plot. Players will face enemies this time performing rythmic battles with them, based on the soundtrack of each game. This can be seen as a celebration of the music of the series, which is one of the most acclaimed aspects of the games and what makes Persona stand out from other RPGs.
Recently Atlus announced special editions for the games launching in Japan, which includes both games and a remastered version of the PSVita original Persona 4 Dancing All Night, which so far is not planned to be released separately.
Persona 3 Dancing Moon Light and Persona 5 Dancing Star Night will release for PS4 on May 25 in Japan. A Western release date has not been confirmed yet. Watch the new trailers below.
