Pokemon fan-site Serebii is reporting that a special demo will be available for Pokemon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire starting on October 15th in Europe. Unfortunately there is no news about if or when this demo might become available in any other countries, including the US. Unlike most demos for modern games, this one seems to be centered around getting it in-store rather than online via the Nintendo eShop. Only select retailers will offer the Pokemon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire Special Demo Version, which include GAME, Amazon, Smyth Toys Superstore, ShopTo, and Nintendo’s official UK store. The distribution will be via special codes, which presumably will allow gamers to download the demo online. After a certain amount of time distribution will open up to include other retailers, which will then offer the codes right up until the final game launches.
Europe to receive Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire Demo from October 15th.
Serebii received multiple updates about the special demo, so far having details for the UK, Italy, Belgium, and France. With the unique way this demo is being distributed it is conceivable that Nintendo might decide to forgo offering it outside of Europe. However, with all of the special promotions that Pokemon does through Gamestop, it is highly possible that this will follow the same route.
Pokemon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire will be available starting November 21st exclusively on Nintendo 2DS and 3DS.[tps_title][/tps_title]
