Updated Story: The Pokemon Company has released a statement through their Twitter page to say that their team is “investigating the Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire special demo code issues” and to stay tuned. However, the codes seem to be popping up sporadically, as I was able to access mine now, but others still can’t. Keep an eye out on the initial email and make sure to “view the email online” or something similar, depending on your email service, for the best chance to see it.
Original Story: With exactly one month to go until the release of the next bound to be classic Pokemon game, Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, The Pokemon Company found it the perfect time to distribute the much awaited demo for the game to the masses outside of Japan. As explained prior, you simply had to sign up for the newsletter through The Pokemon Company and you would receive a code, which started to go out today. However, for those looking this evening, you may have noticed a major problem, a missing code in your email.
The emails are not just static images, but are hosted through The Pokemon Company’s website. As a result of all of the traffic today from this, it appears there is something messing up with the code section of the emails. In the email itself it is just showing up blank, but if you investigate a little further, it leads to an image file that just sales “coupon.”
One poster on NeoGAF even said that they saw the code for the Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire demo earlier and waited, but now it’s not there, so hopefully that means they can remedy the situation and get them back up for everyone in a quick manner. My email did not come until later in the day and the code was already missing at that time, so we’ll just have to see how long it takes for them to get it fixed.
