The next big PS4 system update will be 4.0 and Sony will soon allow its users to test it out via a beta that is being held very soon.
Sony announced the following on the PlayStation Blog: Starting today you can sign up to be a PS4 beta tester by clicking here. The system software beta trial will kick off next month and, if you’re chosen to take part, you’ll receive an email with instructions on downloading the update.
In order to sign up, you’ll need a PS4 console with an internet connection and a master PlayStation Network account. We’ll share more details on which features you’ll be able to test when the beta begins.
If you are successfully chosen, Sony strongly encourages you to give them feedback on the new PS4 update. They promise they listen to feedback, although not every request can be granted.
Sony also mentions that you should tell your friends to sign up for the beta as well. They note that you should sign up ASAP as only a limited number of people will get a chance to preview the new update.
In order to sign up for the beta, click here for EU and click here for the USA. Sony will mention specific features about the update in the near future.
