Rockstar has temporarily removed the ability to purchase money for GTA Online in GTA V due to persisting issues with the multiplayer mode. Rockstar says that for the “time being”, the optional purchases will be put on hold while they iron out the connectivity issues.
Rockstar looking to restore Cash Packs as soon as possible
“For the time being and until we have been able to get everybody access to GTA Online and things are running smoothly, we have disabled the option of purchasable GTA$ cash packs,” as detailed on the Rockstar Newswire. The disabling of the microtransactions does not stop players from earning cash in-game, “Players can however keep on earning GTA$ by pulling off jobs and other profitable gameplay activities rather than purchasing cash packs.”
So when can we expect the return of this functionality? Rockstar doesn’t have a concrete timetable on the return of GTA Online Cash Packs, but does say they are working on getting this functionality restored “as soon as possible”.
Connectivity issues have been wide spread and numbered for those who journeyed into the world of GTA Online earlier this week.
