The Ben Affleck Batman might be getting his own solo movie after all if a recent rumor is true. DC has yet to make it official though.
So far, the Ben Affleck Batman has only been confirmed for non solo movies. This includes: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Suicide Squad and Justice League part one and two.
According to a report from Latino Review (via ComicBookMovie), a solo Ben Affleck Batman movie is in the works for a November 2018 release. This is interesting because DC didn’t announce the movie before.
The website says Chris Terrio will write the Ben Affleck Batman solo movie and it will be called “The Batman”. Terrio is a busy man as he helped write Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and and will also do both Justice League movies.
It’s speculated this Ben Affleck Batman movie will be officially announced next month at the San Diego Comic Con event. This makes sense since Warner Bros. is set to drop a lot of DC bombshells during that event. Marvel Studios is not attending this year as well as other movie studios.
If “The Batman” does indeed release in 2018, this might mean Ben Affleck isn’t a bad choice after all. Movie executives are probably happy with his work in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad. The rest of us won’t find out how good he is until 2016.
