It’s been a long time since Red Dead Redemption has launched, and fans have been clamoring for a sequel for years now. While the prospects of a sequel have been brought up to the developer repeatedly, Rockstar Games has done nothing to confirm of deny its existence.
However, if a new rumor from Fraghero is to be believed, then the long-awaited sequel could be revealed at this year’s E3. The anonymous source claims to be close to an ex-Rockstar Games employee, revealing that the game will be called Red Dead Redemption 2: Legends of the West and will launch in late 2017.
The source goes on to say that the game will contain multiple playable characters and a world that is much larger than the first game. They also claim that the game has been in development for several years, with Rockstar sneakily making it under everyone’s noses.
Neither Rockstar nor Take Two has confirmed or denied this rumor yet, so we’ll just have to wait and see what happens in the coming months. However, publisher Take Two has revealed that they will have a big presence at this year’s E3, so anything’s possible.
