It looks like some retailers have been selling Tom Clancy’s The Division two weeks before it officially goes on sale. Some photos have been floating around with people claiming to have bought the game in stores.
As reported by Gadgets 360, Enterprising retailers in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have already started selling the game. This is evident by a photo that was posted on Instagram. A batch of PS4 copies of Tom Clancy’s The Division was shown in the photo.
The report goes on further that the UAE has broken the street date for many video games in the past, so this thing is quite common over there. The reason why the street dates get broken all the time is because publishers are “putting pressure on their UAE and Saudi distributors to perform“.
Gadget 360 goes on to say that breaking the street date with Tom Clancy’s The Division is pointless since the game needs to run with online servers.
For gamers over in UAE, it’s better to wait until March 8th, 2016 for the servers to go up. Even if the servers are up right now, it will be a ghost town since there will be nobody to play with.
