The Creation Kit for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim on Steam will arrive tomorrow, that’s according to Pete Hines of Bethesda. Reassuring that the creation tools were indeed on their way, Hines took to Twitter to relay the news to fans. “For our Skyrim PC fans, the Creation Kit is on track for release on Tuesday,” Hines said.
Hines also said that there will be a “special surprise” included with the tool kit.
Rumor has it that PC players will be treated to an “official” high-resolution texture pack from the creators. Community modders have already begun making similar texture packs, but an official release from Bethesda Game Studios will be a welcome mod to kick off what will likely be a very active modding community for the game.
Incorporated with the Creation Kit, Valve has teamed up with Bethesda to offer the Steam Workshop. This allows players to freely upload and install other users creations, with much easier access than going to a third party site and downloading them in the traditional manners.
Look for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Creation Kit on Tuesday February 7th, via Steam.
