Last night brought us the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which is looking to break just about every box office record. The hype surrounding this release will have gamers itching to play a Star Wars related game and the recent Star Wars Battlefront is just the perfect choice.
Star Wars Battlefront released a little over a month ago as a reboot of the fan favorite franchise, this time coming from DICE. In honor of the release of The Force Awakens, EA is holding a special event this weekend.
The official Twitter account for Star Wars Battlefront from EA has announced that the game will be having its first ever Double Score weekend, which is just their own name for Double XP.
This is something that many shooters offer sometimes, with the Call of Duty series doing it ever so often. The double points earned in each map will allow you to upgrade much faster, while also getting more credits to unlock stuff as well.
The Double Score weekend for Star Wars Battlefront is now going on and will run through the weekend until Monday, December 21 at 1:00 am PT. For anyone that has been thinking about getting the game, it is also on sale for 33% off on both Xbox One and PlayStation 4’s respective digital stores, so this would be a great time to jump in.
