StarCraft II Heart of the Swarm Beta Arrives

The StarCraft II Heart of the Swarm multiplayer beta has begun for a select group which Blizzard defines as “pro-gamers, press, contest winners, and shoutcasters. This beta begins without a NDA, so there will be plenty of footage from the game, (some early footage you can find below).

Blizzard will be opening the beta to other Battle.net users shortly, and in traditional fashion. This means if you want access to the beta, you’ll need to fill out your preferences in Battle.net for a chance to check out the new content prior to release.

Heart of the Swarm is the second chapter in the StarCraft II saga, focusing on the story of Sarah Kerrigan and the Zerg. StarCraft II Heart of the Swarm multiplayer will feature numerous changes, which include new unit types, with new features to be rolled out as the beta expands.
