Big things are in store for Respawn Entertainment’s Titanfall 2, with the developer announcing some of the content that fans can expect to receive over the next few months. These include the likes of 2 new general multiplayer maps, 2 new Live Fire maps, a new titan and two new purchasable prime titans. As always, this content (outside of the prime titans) will be coming to the game for free.
The developer revealed on the game’s official website that the aforementioned content would be coming to the game between now and June, though they tease even more content by saying “We’ll let you folks speculate as to what else we could be working on…” They also reassure everyone who may interpret this as being the end of the developer’s support for the game, confirming that they will continue to support it for months to come with new content, free trials and more.
Respawn then goes on to discuss the updates that will be coming to the game within the same time-frame, which are broken down in the following bullet points:
- Gen cap increase to 100
- Expanded Private Match settings including the addition of Live Fire and Coliseum to the selectable modes
- A new Faction
- Marked for Death game mode
- More Pilot executions
- Addition refinements to matchmaking like estimated wait time and more
- More purchasable camos, skins, etc. from the store
- And more!
More information on all this content will be coming closer to launch, so stay tuned for more soon. Titanfall 2 is available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The game most recently got the Colony Reborn DLC at the end of last month, which features a remade version of the Colony map from the first game. It also came with a new execution called Curb Check and a new weapon called the R-101, which is a weapon praised for its unique versatility. You can learn more about the DLC by clicking right here.
