Fans can relax a bit as Naughty Dog has officially announced that Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End has gone gold. This means we should not see any more release date delays.

Naughty Dog announced on Facebook: “We are very happy to say that Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End has gone gold today! Congrats to everyone who worked on the game!!! Now the wait to put it in your hands begins…

This is great news as the game’s development has finally finished. We shouldn’t be hearing of any more release date delays so the game should be out on May 10th, 2016. Naughty Dog delayed the game several times because they wanted the game to have a proper sendoff.

The game was going to come out in Fall 2015, but the story changed a bit and Naughty Dog needed more time to refine the climax. It had a release date in March, but then got delayed yet again to late April as Naughty Dog were still not satisfied.

It was delayed for a final time by Sony as the company wanted to print as many discs as possible to meet the very high demand for the game. You can now bookmark your calendars for May 10th, 2016 as this should be the final release date.
